Welcome to Almira School District

Have a wonderful summer!! School starts August 31st.
The Ice Cream Social will be Monday,  August 29th from 3:00 to 4:30 here at the Almira School. Kindergarten will have their Roundup at this time.  Middle School,  this will be a time to pay sports fees and lunch money, receive schedules and lockers as well. We will also have information available to teach you how to access your students grades, assignments, absences, lunch money and so much more online. Family Access is a fabulous tool for parents and we highly recommend you attend the ice cream social to get your user names and passwords.
ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS: Grades 6-8 will need to purchase PE Uniforms for this coming 2016-17 school year. Please order them at the following link.... Questions or concerns please let me know..... Thank you... Mrs. Schmerer...  July 25, 2016 Dear Parents/Guardians, Well guess what time it is?   It is about that time to start thinking of sending your children back to school.  Remember registration is all online! Please give us a call if you need help with your family access.
There have been a few changes for this coming school year that we would like to tell you about. First we will start with staffing: PE K-8 :  Mr. Manokalani Victorino. K-8 Librarian, Internet Safety, CTE Director, ASB Advisor, Teaching and Learning Coordinator and Associate Administrator: Mrs. Anna Thomas. Next, we have some new and old requirements and fees.  If you go online to register you will see an opening day letter that tells you about absences, lunch prices, sports fees including an ASB fee. Last year we sent out an additional letter for technology fees for grades 6 and 7, but it will include all middle school grades 6-8.  As part of our commitment, all middle school students will have access to technology through a one on one tablet in their classroom. That letter will come out closer to when school starts.
A new requirement for this year is that all middle school students will need to purchase a PE uniform from Sunflower Graphics at  This will help solve the issue of lost/stolen clothes, dress code violations, and most importantly; not wearing your sweaty PE clothes throughout the day!  If you have concerns or questions about this requirement or other school business please ask.  We want to help you! J
Last, we are doing something very new 1st quarter!   We are very excited to share this new adventure with you.  As most of you know we currently have no formal Art curriculum being taught at the middle school or the high school.  This fall we want to give students, starting 1st quarter with the 8th graders, an Exposure to Art Opportunity. Through possible support from the ACH Foundation and the willingness of local community members (Mr. Nutt and Mrs. Peha) that have amazing talents, we hope to be able to give students a new opportunity. I would like to conclude with how excited we are with all the great things that are happening in our schools within the cooperative.  Anything we can do to help please give us a call!
